Hyderabad: In an bid to reach out to the students of Intermediate second year and come to their aid in selecting a career that is appropriate to their personality and ability, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) in association with Campus Crop, a Hyderabad based AI & IT Enabled Career Assessment company launched a career guidance portal.
The portal will be beneficial to over 4 lakh students who are studying in private as well as government run colleges across the state of Telangana. Mahesh Naga, founder and CEO, Campuscrop said, “It will help students to make an informed decision and empower them along with knowledge about new careers.” He further added that the world’s first virtual career fair which will be six months long is planned and students can interact with educators, colleges, universities.”
The portal has information on more than 35 careers, 1,500 entrance examinations for different universities, 30,000 colleges and vocational institutes across the country. The career guidance eportal will enable students to choose a career based on five dimensions in their personality that includes their abilities, interests and learning abilities.
Students always find it strenuous to choose the most suitable career path matching their interest and goals and lack of availability of the entire information at one place, TSCIE Career Guidance portal will be a one stop portal to ensure that the students are well equipped with the tools they need to make an informed career decision,” said Omer Jaleel, commissioner and secretary, TSCIE. The assessments will be available in Hindi, Telugu and English languages.
As part of the initiative, the nominated teachers and state counselors of the TSBIE will be trained virtually on the platform. All the colleges will be enrolled into the portal in the first stage and later students will be guided to take career assessments and reports will be shared accordingly.
