Mumbai: Milind Mhaiskar, a 1992 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new health secretary. He was earlier the additional chief secretary (ACS) in Civil Aviation and State Excise.
This was part of a major administrative reshuffle in Maharashtra, where the government has transferred 10 IAS officers.
Dr. Nitin Kareer, a 1988 batch IAS officer was made the ACS (Finance), Finance Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai. The ACS Finance post fell vacant after senior IAS officer Manoj Saunik, who held it, was made the chief secretary of the state.
Dr. Kareer was serving as ACS (Revenue, Registration and Stamp) in Revenue & Forest Department
A 1994 batch IAS, Dinesh Waghmare, has been transferred as principal secretary (Jails). He was serving as Managing Director of State Electricity Transmission Company. Now, Additional Municipal Commissioner (BMC) Dr. Sanjeev Kumar has been appointed in his place.
Radhika Rastogi, a 1995 batch IAS, who returned from her posting in Mussoorie, has been posted as Principal Secretary in the Minority Development Department.
A 2005 batch IAS officer, Tukaram Mundhe, who was removed as the state health commissioner, has been appointed as agriculture secretary. Mundhe was kept without posting for months.
A 2005 batch IAS officer, Shravan Hardikar, has been posted as an additional BMC commissioner. He was working as Inspector General of Stamps and Registration Department.
While 2009 batch IAS officer, G Sreekanth, has been posted as municipal commissioner of Aurangabad, and a 2011 batch IAS officer, Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, who was the Aurangabad civic body chief, has been posted as joint commissioner of the Sales Tax Department.
P Siva Sankar, a 2011 batch IAS, who was director, textile, Nagpur has been posted as CEO, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi.
