Bhopal: APAC News Network partnered with the Department of Science and Technology to host the APAC 4th India Digital Empowerment Meet and Awards (IDEM), Madhya Pradesh Edition. It was held in Bhopal between August 11 to 12, and saw many dignitaries share their thoughts on empowering people and our nation through digital innovation.
The event’s chief guest Honourable Minister Om Prakash Saklecha , Department of Science & Technology, Government of Madhya Pradesh, gave us the rundown on how the government of Madhya Pradesh is doing its best to educate the young generation about emerging technologies.
“We are focusing on imparting knowledge on emerging technologies to students in school level itself in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Under the leadership of Honourable Chief Minister, we are fully committed to the cause of digital governance and Technology Board has been created for the same,” he said.
Recognising the need for a unified attempt of the government, private and public sectors, to help the growth of the country, Minister Saklecha talks about the ways the government is helping create employment opportunities for the citizens of Madhya Pradesh.
What does Digital Governance aim to do?
Digital governance involves using digital tools, policies, and strategies to manage organisations or governments. It includes data management, transparency, online services, cybersecurity, citizen engagement, and compliance with regulations. The goal is to enhance efficiency, accountability, and communication while ensuring data security and equal access to digital services.
How does MP Berojgari Bhatta help the youth?
Minister Saklecha talks about MP Berojgari Bhatta, which aims to provide compensation to educated unemployed people. A compensation of Rs 1500 has been promised to the people eligible, and there are discussions to increase it to Rs 3500 for upto three years. This stems from the promise of providing employment opportunities for the people of Madhya Pradesh, for the growth of the state, the nation and its economy.
