Kolkata: The West Bengal government recently shuffled three IAS officers across various departments. Following a circular issued by Nabanna, West Bengal’s State Secretariat, IAS officer Dibyendu Das, from the 2011 batch, was appointed the new Additional Chief Electoral Officer.
IAS Amit Roy Choudhury, also from the 2011 batch has been reassigned as the Senior Special Secretary in the Department of Food and Supplies. He is the outgoing Additional Chief Electoral Officer.
IAS officer Mohammad Ikhlaque Islam, from the 2010 batch, has been appointed as the new Director in the Department of Transport. He succeeds Das, who previously held the position. Islam was previously serving as the Senior Special Secretary in the Department of Food and Supplies.
