Kolkata: The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) has partnered with Oxford University to launch a new fellowship program aimed at advancing paediatric education and research. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on August 3, 2024, in Kolkata.
This initiative establishes a fellowship that will enable Indian paediatricians to gain advanced training and research opportunities at Oxford University. The program is designed to enhance clinical competencies, foster research skills, and integrate global best practices into paediatric care in India. Dr. Rajiv Bahl, President of IAP, underscored the significance of the partnership, stating that it will elevate the quality of paediatric care by providing Indian practitioners with access to world-class training and resources. The fellowship aims to support the development of innovative paediatric practices and improve patient outcomes.
Professor John Smith from Oxford University highlighted the program’s potential to strengthen academic ties between India and the UK and to promote the exchange of knowledge in paediatrics. The collaboration is expected to advance paediatric healthcare through shared expertise and collaborative research.
