Guardian India Appoints Karunakaran Azhisur as Chief Information Officer

Gurgaon: Guardian India, the tech hub for Guardian Life Insurance of America, has named Karunakaran Azhisur as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). He will report directly to Shiney Prasad, the Country Head.

Azhisur brings 25 years of experience, having held various leadership roles at GE. Most recently, he was the Global CIO for GE Vernova’s Hydro Power Business. He has also been a Regional CIO for Asia, the Middle East, and Africa and led GE Gas Power’s Global Software Engineering team.

Guardian India aims to enhance its tech operations with Azhisur’s appointment. Shiney Prasad noted that his experience will help in driving the company’s technology strategy forward. Azhisur said he looks forward to building digital solutions that benefit both consumers and the community.

This move signals Guardian India’s focus on strengthening its technology capabilities as it seeks to drive innovation and improve its services.
