Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jabil, a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company, to set up its EMS unit in the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) with a total investment of Rs. 1,000 crores.
The new unit to be established by Jabil will focus on different sectors including networking, capital goods, automotive, and other allied industries. The facility is expected to begin its operations by 2027 and is anticipated to create employment opportunities for 5,000 individuals.
The MoU was signed between Gujarat’s Science and Technology Department and Jabil in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
