New Delhi: The Ministry of Labour and Employment has partnered with TeamLease EdTech to roll out work-linked degree programs aimed at improving job readiness. Under this agreement, around 200 degree courses will be added to the National Career Service (NCS) portal, each offering internships to provide students with practical, hands-on experience.
TeamLease EdTech will use its Digivarsity platform to make live internship opportunities available to students across India via the NCS portal. The goal is to bridge the skill gap in the job market by combining learning with real-world experience.
Jaideep Kewalramani, COO at TeamLease EdTech, noted that the partnership aims to prepare students with the necessary skills to meet industry needs. By aligning education with the job market, this initiative hopes to create a pathway for students to gain the experience they need to secure employment.
This collaboration marks a step towards addressing employability challenges, focusing on equipping graduates with the skills demanded by today’s industries.
