Chandigarh: The Punjab government has implemented a significant reshuffle in its police administration, with five IPS officers receiving new postings to enhance governance and efficiency across the state. Among the officers, Gaurav Toora, an IPS officer from the 2014 batch, has been appointed as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Kapurthala. Known for his experience in handling law enforcement challenges, Toora previously held the position of AIG Provisioning in Chandigarh and is now tasked with improving security and administrative operations in Kapurthala. He has also served as the SSP of Tarn Taran.

IPS Harcharan Singh Bhullar, also from the 2014 batch, has been designated as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Ropar Range. Bhullar has a track record of diligent service in various capacities across Punjab and is expected to strengthen law enforcement in the region.

IPS Harjeet Singh, who previously served as DIG Vigilance Bureau in SAS Nagar, has been reassigned as the DIG of Bathinda Range. His extensive experience in vigilance and anti-corruption work will be pivotal for maintaining law and order in the area.

IPS Jagdale Nilambari Vijay, an IPS officer with a robust administrative background, has taken up the dual role of DIG Technical Services and DIG Community Affairs Division. Her expertise will be crucial in integrating technology with police operations and addressing community concerns effectively.

Lastly, IPS Vatsala Gupta has been appointed as the Commandant of the 27th Battalion of the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) in Jalandhar. Her leadership is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of the battalion.
