New Delhi: Kaspersky organized a one-day cyber safety awareness campaign at Shri Vedvyasa Gurukulam in New Delhi, focusing on educating underprivileged students about safe internet practices. The initiative, part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed to equip students with essential digital skills and promote responsible online behavior.
The event, held on December 9, 2024, engaged 75 students through interactive sessions on digital safety. The workshop covered topics such as safeguarding personal information, avoiding suspicious links, and practicing caution while navigating online platforms. A pledge session encouraged students to commit to secure online habits, highlighting the importance of not sharing sensitive information or engaging with unfamiliar content.
As part of its “Stay Warm, Stay Safe” theme, Kaspersky also distributed warm jackets to all participants. This gesture underscored the company’s dual focus on digital literacy and community support.
Adrian Hia, Managing Director for Asia Pacific at Kaspersky, emphasized the importance of addressing both digital safety and community needs. Jaydeep Singh, General Manager for Kaspersky India, highlighted the campaign’s role in empowering young learners with the knowledge to navigate a digital-first world.
The initiative reflects Kaspersky’s broader mission to combine cybersecurity education with social impact. By raising awareness of digital safety and addressing basic needs, the campaign sought to prepare students for safer interactions in an increasingly online environment.
