New Delhi: Reliance Retail Limited reinforced its dedication to consumer safety by signing the Consumer Safety Pledge, an initiative led by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
The pledge-signing ceremony was attended by Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy; B L Verma, Minister of State; and Secretary Nidhi Khare. Ravi Gandhi, President and Chief Public Policy & Regulatory Officer of Reliance Retail represented the company, which encompasses platforms such as JioMart, AJIO, Reliance Digital, and Netmeds.
The Consumer Safety Pledge emphasizes four key principles:

Detecting and preventing the sale of unsafe and non-compliant products

Collaborating with statutory authorities to ensure adherence to product safety regulations

Raising awareness among sellers about their responsibilities to ensure the availability of safe products

Empowering consumers with knowledge and mechanisms to report safety concerns.
Speaking about the initiative, Ravi Gandhi stated, “At Reliance Retail, consumer safety is integral to our mission. By signing this pledge, we strengthen our resolve to create a safe, compliant, and trustworthy e-commerce ecosystem that benefits millions of customers nationwide.”
