Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has issued orders for the transfer and new postings of five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The reshuffle involves key positions across various districts and municipal corporations. The officers involved include IAS Anchal Goyal, IAS Ankit, IAS Minal Karanwal, IAS Karishma Nair and IAS Ranjit Mohan.
Among the most significant appointments, IAS Anchal Goyal (2014 batch) has been named the new District Collector of Mumbai City.
Goyal previously served as the Additional Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), where she also held additional responsibility as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd (NSSCDCL).
During her tenure in Nagpur, she led several transformative initiatives, including computerizing waste vehicle monitoring, establishing health centres, and digitizing NMC’s operations. She also introduced mid-day meal programs for pre-primary students.
The list of other transferred officers includes:
- IAS Ankit has been transferred to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad.
- IAS Minal Karanwal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon.
- IAS Kavali Meghana has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Nanded.
- IAS Karishma Nair has been posted as the Additional Municipal Commissioner at Nashik Municipal Corporation.
- IAS Ranjit Mohan Yadav has been assigned as the Project Officer for ITDP, Gadchiroli, and Assistant Collector for Gadchiroli Sub-Division.
These administrative changes aim to strengthen governance, enhance public service delivery, and bring fresh leadership to key districts and urban centres across Maharashtra.
The transferred officers are expected to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect.
