Dehradun: In a major bureaucratic overhaul, the Uttarakhand government has ordered the transfer and new postings of 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers.
The changes, announced in an official order issued by Deputy Secretary Anil Joshi, aim to streamline governance and enhance efficiency across key departments.
One of the notable appointments includes IAS Gaurav Kumar, who has been designated as the Director of Urban Development.
Other transfers include:
- IAS Jugal Kishore Pant – Assigned the additional responsibility of Secretary of the Language Department.
- IAS Sonika – Given the additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department.
- IAS Reena Joshi – Now also serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Authority.
- IAS Vineet Kumar – Relieved of his charge as Additional Secretary of Planning.
- IAS Anand Shrivastava – Appointed as Additional Secretary of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.
- IAS Manuj Goyal – Now also handling the responsibilities of Additional Secretary in the Sainik Welfare and Higher Education Department.
- IAS Himanshu Khurana – Given additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Finance Department.
- IAS Abhishek Ruhela – Assigned the role of Additional Secretary for Skill Development and Service Scheme.
- IAS Nitika Khandelwal – Appointed as the Additional Secretary of Information Technology.
- IAS Anuradha Pal – Designated as the Project Director of REAP.
- IAS Varun Chaudhary – Moved from Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar to Additional Secretary for Medical Health and Family Welfare.
- IAS Nandan Kumar – Appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar, replacing IAS Varun Chaudhary.
The reshuffle reflects the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, improve departmental efficiency, and reinforce key administrative roles across Uttarakhand.
