Mumbai: The Maharashtra government transferred eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including IAS Naval Kishore Ram, impacting key administrative positions across the state.
The move, described as part of routine administrative realignment, includes significant changes in leadership roles across urban governance, district administration and state-level departments.
According to the official notification, IAS Naval Kishore Ram (2008 batch) has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation, replacing IAS Rajendra Bhosale. Ram is known for his expertise in urban planning and governance.
Below is the list of other appointments and transfers:
- IAS Sheetal Teli-Ugale (2009 batch) is now the Commissioner, Sports and Youth, in Pune, a role crucial for shaping the state’s youth and sports initiatives.
- IAS J. S. Papalkar (2010 batch), former Collector of Dhule, has been elevated to Divisional Commissioner of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Division.
- IAS C K Dange (2010 batch) has been posted as Joint Secretary to the Chief Secretary in the General Administration Department at Mantralaya, Mumbai.
- IAS Saurabh Katiyar (2016 batch) moves from Amravati to become the Collector of Mumbai Suburban District.
- IAS Bhagyashree Vispute (2017 batch) has been appointed as Collector of Dhule, succeeding Papalkar.
- IAS Anand Bhandari (2017 batch) will now serve as CEO, Zilla Parishad, Ahilyanagar.
- IAS Ashish Yerekar (2018 batch) becomes the new Collector of Amravati, replacing Katiyar.
The reshuffle is expected to bring renewed administrative focus and momentum across Maharashtra’s governance machinery.
