NTPC Green Energy Ltd Appoints Sarit Maheshwari as CEO

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has appointed Sarit Maheshwari as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Key Managerial Personnel. Maheshwari succeeds Rajiv Gupta, who has been repatriated to the parent company, NTPC. 

A seasoned professional in the power sector, Maheshwari brings over 35 years of industry experience to his new role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, a master’s in power generation technology from IIT Delhi, and an MBA from IGNOU. His diverse academic background complements his extensive operational and strategic experience in the energy sector.

Before taking over as CEO of NGEL, Maheshwari served in leadership roles across NTPC’s renewable energy arms, including as CEO of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited and NTPC Rajasthan Green Energy Limited—a joint venture between NGEL and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. He has also held key operational roles, including as Head of Project at NTPC Korba.
