Chandigarh:Â The Haryana government has announced the reshuffle of two Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. As per the official order, IAS Ashok Kumar (2009 batch) has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD) of Dakshin Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL).Â
HVPNL is the nodal transmission agency for electricity transmission across Haryana. Kumar’s appointment comes at a crucial time when the state is working on improving power transmission infrastructure and reliability.
In another key appointment, IAS Ashok Garg (2006 batch), presently serving as Commissioner of Hisar Division and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hisar Metropolitan Development Authority, has been entrusted with additional charge of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN). The power utility is responsible for distributing electricity in the southern parts of Haryana.
The reshuffle is a routine administrative activity to strengthen governance and operational efficiency in the power sector.
