Kolkata: The Kolkata Police is now planning to create reels, shorts and other AI-related video content to warn netizens about cybercrimes emanating from matrimony sites and dating apps.
In recent times, many netizens have connected through these sites and apps for marriage, friendship or even situationship.
The relationship develops for a while, and then one person’s money is drained from their accounts before the cybercriminal disappears.
To leverage the general affinity amongst netizens for reels and shorts, the Kolkata Police will create a number of awareness evangelisation reels soon on their social media platform.
These cybercrimes generally follow a set pattern. The Kolkata Police reels will increase mass awareness among citizens of these patterns. Each reel will be of 66 seconds duration.
Already, Kolkata Police has launched its Cyber Smart Citizen Comics on its social media platform. There are still photo comics where the pictures are generated using AI.
Just as these comics are increasing awareness, Kolkata Police plans to use AI to leverage the audio-visual medium against cybercrimes.
With a preference now for short reels instead of long videos, Kolkata Police will develop them to protect netizens from cybercrimes.
