Bhopal: As part of a major administrative reshuffle, 10 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) have been transferred across Madhya Pradesh following direct intervention by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. As per the official notification, IPS Sachin Atulkar has been appointed the new Inspector General (IG) of Chambal Range, succeeding IG Sushant Kumar Saxena, who has been removed from the post and sent to Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Bhopal.
The list of other transfers includes:
- IPS Sunil Kumar Jain, previously DIG Sagar, has been appointed DIG, Chambal Range, succeeding IPS Kumar Saurabh.
- IPS Abhinav Vishwakarma, former DCP Zone-2 Indore, has now been appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) of Katni, replacing IPS Abhijeet Ranjan, who has now been made AIG at PHQ Bhopal.
- IPS Suraj Verma, previously the Commandant of 1st Battalion SAF Indore, has been made the new SP of Datia, replacing IPS Virendra Kumar Mishra. Mishra has been sent to PHQ Bhopal as the AIG.
- IPS Chandrashekhar Solanki, currently IG SAF Indore, has been posted as IG of Sagar Zone. Additionally, he has been given the additional charge as Director, JNPA Sagar
- IPS Pramod Verma, previously the IG of Sagar Zone, has now been appointed the new IG of Jabalpur Zone.
