Lucknow: SLMG Beverages, a leading bottling partner of The Coca-Cola Company, is expanding its presence in Uttar Pradesh to reshape the state’s industrial ecosystem.
Through advanced facilities, sustainable operations and robust employment generation, the company is significantly boosting the state’s economy and driving rural development.
The company has outlined a phased investment plan of Rs 8,000 crore in UP to expand operations, improve supply chains and create additional jobs. According to Rahul Kumar, Chief Business Officer, UP’s emergence as a manufacturing hub aligns with SLMG’s commitment to contributing through innovation, sustainability and employment generation.
Significant Investment and Job Creation
With eight modern plants across strategic locations in Bareilly, Mathura, Unnao, Safedabad, Barabanki, Amethi, Ayodhya and Patna (Bihar), SLMG has become a key contributor to the industrial growth of the region. Its flagship Trishundi plant in Amethi, spread over 30 acres, stands as one of South Asia’s largest beverage facilities. Equipped with eight production lines and a capacity of approximately 830 bottles per minute, the plant directly employs 430 people and indirectly supports over 500 others.
Overall, SLMG supports a workforce of over 7,000 individuals, with the majority being residents.
Sustainability in Operations
SLMG has achieved 100 per cent compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). The company uses recycled PET in product packaging and has replenished over 3,500 million litres of water by adopting over 110 water bodies. Its water replenishment rate has surpassed 100%, making it an eco-conscious manufacturer.
As part of Coca-Cola’s global ‘World Without Waste’ initiative, SLMG has adopted responsible production practices, integrating water conservation and recycling into its core operations.
