Arunachal’s Remote Shi-Yomi District Gets ISRO-Backed Space Lab

An ISRO-backed space laboratory, Pasang Wangchuk Sona ISRO Space Laboratory, has opened at a school in Arunachal Pradesh's Shi-Yomi district.

Itanagar: An ISRO-backed space laboratory has been launched at Mechuka Government Higher Secondary School in Shi-Yomi district in Arunachal.

The lab was set up in collaboration with ISRO and Muskaan Foundation. It aims to give students practical exposure to space science and technology.

This is a significant step towards advancing science education in one of Arunachal’s most remote regions.

The lab has been named Pasang Wangchuk Sona ISRO Space Laboratory in memory of the late father of the Arunachal Education Minister.

The lab is expected to serve as a hub of innovation, inspiring generations of students in Shi-Yomi to excel in science and technology.
