New Delhi: State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rolled out premium entertainment packs for its mobile subscribers across India through a collaboration with OTTplay.
The new service will provide access to a wide range of popular OTT platforms, along with over 300 live television channels, curated and distributed via OTTplay’s artificial intelligence-powered platform.
The partnership aims to bring together movies, TV shows, sports, news and regional programming under a single offering, accessible to subscribers nationwide. Customers can opt for flexible payment options and activate the packs through BSNL’s Self Care App, as well as digital wallets such as Google Pay and PhonePe.
The initiative is positioned to enhance digital experiences beyond connectivity, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities where BSNL maintains a significant user base.
The collaboration is expected to expand the reach of premium entertainment to millions of new viewers, combining affordability with convenience. It comes as part of BSNL’s larger strategy to strengthen its digital ecosystem and reduce subscriber churn.
Alongside the new content packs, the operator is pursuing several growth initiatives, including the rollout of 4G services in multiple circles, the introduction of IFTV for FTTH users and BiTV for mobile subscribers, national Wi-Fi roaming, tailored VPN offerings, captive non-public network (CNPN) solutions for mission-critical connectivity and efforts to maintain a spam-free network.
