IAS Danish Ashraf Appointed Joint Development Commissioner in MSME Ministry

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed IAS Danish Ashraf, a 2011-batch officer of the AGMUT cadre, as Joint Development Commissioner (Director level) in the Office of the Development Commissioner, Delhi, under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ashraf’s appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme. He will serve for a tenure of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT noted that Ashraf was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. It has also directed that he be relieved of his current duties immediately to take up the new assignment.

With this appointment, Ashraf will contribute to the MSME sector, which plays a crucial role in employment generation and economic growth.
