New Delhi: South Delhi Member of Parliament Ramvir Singh Bidhuri announced that the six-lane highway connecting the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyway to Sarai Kale Khan is expected to be completed before March 2026.

Speaking at a public event, Bidhuri said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new stretch of DND-Sarai Kale Khan Highway, which will serve as a key link in completing the highway route to Mumbai through South Delhi.

The project is expected to ease congestion on Mathura Road and provide smoother traffic flow between Delhi and neighbouring states.

The announcement was made during an event attended by Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Harsh Malhotra, where the two leaders laid the foundation stone for a new drainage system on Mathura Road in Badarpur. They also inaugurated a foot overbridge connecting Delhi with Haryana, aimed at improving pedestrian safety and regional connectivity.

Officials said the upcoming DND-Sarai Kale Khan corridor will play a crucial role in integrating Delhi’s road infrastructure with the broader national highway network, enhancing both intra-city and inter-state travel efficiency.
