New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada inaugurated the STQC Lab Automation Portal, SATYA, a key digital initiative of the MeitY, aimed at modernising certification and quality assurance services in the country.
The portal was launched in the presence of IT Secretary S Krishnan, senior ministry officials and representatives from the Standardisation Testing and Quality Certification (STQC) Directorate and C-DAC.
Speaking at the event, Prasada said governance in the digital age must prioritise ease, transparency and trust, noting that the SATYA portal is a step towards more citizen-focused and accountable public service delivery.
By bringing STQC’s services onto a single integrated digital platform, the initiative is expected to simplify processes for citizens, industry, startups, MSMEs and government departments.
The portal is designed to enable faster turnaround times, greater predictability and improved confidence in the certification system. For startups and MSMEs, it reduces procedural complexity and supports quicker market access for compliant and secure products.
Krishnan said SATYA introduces end-to-end digital processes that enhance efficiency and transparency while expanding access to quality certification services.
The initiative aligns with the Digital India vision and the government’s push for ease of doing business, while strengthening cybersecurity, product quality and digital trust in India’s growing technology ecosystem.
