New Delhi, August 25 (APAC Media): IAS Ajit Kumar has received a six-month extension in his additional charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MyGov.
Ajit Kumar, a 2006-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The extension was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on the proposal of MeitY.
Extension Effective from May 2026
According to a Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) order issued, Kumar’s additional charge as MyGov CEO has been extended for another six months from May 24, 2026.
He will continue in the role until a regular CEO is appointed or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Kumar will continue as Joint Secretary, MeitY, while handling the additional responsibility of MyGov CEO.
