Mumbai, August 7 (APAC Media): TrueRE Oriana Power has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government to invest around Rs 4,500 crore in establishing an integrated green hydrogen project in the state.
The proposed project will include facilities for the production of green hydrogen and its downstream derivatives, including green ammonia and green methanol, in line with Maharashtra’s renewable energy and industrial development policies.
As part of the agreement, the Maharashtra government will facilitate the project’s implementation by supporting the company in obtaining necessary approvals, permissions, registrations and statutory clearances through relevant state authorities. The project will also be eligible for applicable fiscal incentives under prevailing state policies and regulations.
According to the company, the project will be executed within a defined timeframe under the state’s policy framework. The investment is expected to strengthen Maharashtra’s clean energy ecosystem and contribute to India’s broader green hydrogen and decarbonisation goals while promoting sustainable industrial growth.
