- Field enumeration by trained officials
- Digital data collection through a mobile application
- Measures to protect individual information and privacy
From English Research to the IAS
Before joining the civil services, Mithra pursued an academic career in English, including research at Kerala University.
She secured 10th rank in the Civil Services Examination and became the Kerala topper in the 2009 examination.
Before her central deputation, she held administrative positions in Kerala, including serving as Director of the Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT) and later as District Collector, Kollam.
The latest extension will allow Mithra to continue overseeing Kerala’s Census-related responsibilities as the preparations for the next population census progress.
