Over Three Decades of Power Sector Experience

Pathak brings more than 32 years of experience in the power sector, with a career spanning transmission system planning, project execution and management, business development, strategic infrastructure development, and international projects.

He was part of POWERGRID’s first batch of Executive Trainees in 1993 and has since held several leadership positions within the organisation. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to the development, execution, monitoring, and commissioning of extra-high-voltage transmission lines and substations.

Pathak also led the Arun-3 SAPDC Transmission Project in Nepal, where he handled cross-border, regulatory, and geographical challenges associated with the project.

Academic Background and Previous Role

Pathak holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mangalore University, Karnataka, which he completed in 1991. He has also undertaken the Harvard ManageMentor Programme conducted by Harvard Business School.

Before taking charge as Director (Projects), Pathak was serving as Executive Director, OSD (Projects) at POWERGRID. He has also contributed to the company’s business development initiatives, including the expansion of consultancy services and efforts to increase revenue.
