The Skill Manthan initiative is a collaborative webinar series designed to support India’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 . The initiative focuses on building a future-ready, self-reliant, and entrepreneurial workforce.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India , bringing together key stakeholders from across the ecosystem :
The series provides a structured platform for dialogue and knowledge sharing, highlighting district- and state-level skill development initiatives, best practices, and on-ground innovations. It aims to improve awareness among students, training institutions, and industry partners while encouraging stronger collaboration between policy and practice.
We welcome Meerut and Bijnor districts to the launch edition of Skill Manthan to showcase their best practices in Building Sustainable Livelihoods for Women.
In Meerut, SHG women are being empowered with specialised skills in badminton and shuttlecock manufacturing, enabling sustainable livelihoods and participation in India's growing sports manufacturing ecosystem.
Bijnor is empowering rural women through skill development, entrepreneurship training, and market linkages, enabling SHGs to build sustainable micro-enterprises through 'Vidur Prerna.'
NTR District has been chosen to be featured at Skill Manthan – Dialogue with District Magistrates on Skill Development for its innovative RISE (Rural Incubation Skilling & Entrepreneurship Center) initiative.
Spearheaded by the NTR District Administration with support from NITI Aayog, RISE focuses on rural women’s skill development, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and digital inclusion.
Under the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” programme, the district aims to create 5,000 women entrepreneurs annually and has already enabled 1,000+ women entrepreneurs through structured skilling and access to financial support.
