Retired from the post of Director General of Police & State Police Chief, Kerala, w.e.f. 30th June 2021 after serving 5 long years in this post. In the past worked in the NIA & CBI for about 16 years, 4 years as Commissioner of Police, Kochi City and since 30th August 2021, working as the Managing Director, Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. and Kochi Water Metro Ltd.
- Completed the last leg of Kochi Metro Rail Phase-1 with induction of innovative ideas and latest technology.
- Instrumental in opening and operationalizing the Water Metro in Kochi which is one and unique in the world.
- Having worked for about 16 years in Govt. of India, gained vast experience in functioning of the Central Govt., counter terrorism, corruption, IT use in Policing, etc.
- An expert in Legal (especially in International Criminal Law), Administration, Investigation, Technology matters.
- Innovation is the USP; Technological innovation in various Policing & Security fields. Appreciated even by world bodies.
- Trainer (indoor classes) on Law, Procedures, Technology, Investigation, Cyber Security, Cyber Crime Investigation. NASSCOM awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for visionary leadership in Cyber Crime Investigation.
- Institution & Infrastructure Builder. Founded the NIA (National Investigation Agency), the counter terrorism Law Enforcement of India, known as Father of Police Modernisation in Kerala.
- Well-travelled across the globe – wide exposure to technology in Policing, Infra, etc.
- Instrumental in spreading the concept of Water Metro in India & abroad, resulting in doing the feasibility studies at a number of locations.
- Awarded Indian President’s Police Medal for meritorious service and Indian President’s Medal for distinguished services.
