Mr. Shalabh Goel is a passionate engineer and is an IRSEE officer of 1989 examination batch from Indian Railways. He is presently leading transformation in regional mobility as the Managing Director of NCRTC, which is mandated for designing, developing, implementing, financing, operating and maintaining Namo Bharat projects in the National Capital Region of India.
Having served as Executive Director at the Ministry of Railways, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Mumbai Division of Central Railway, Chief Electrical Locomotive Engineer at Central Railway, and Senior Deputy General Manager cum Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Western Railway, he has decades of experience in the mass transportation field. During his tenure as DRM, Shri Goel played a pivotal role in managing train operations during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the continuity of essential services and prioritizing the safety of passengers and staff.
Shri Goel’s extensive background encompasses rolling stock maintenance & operations, project execution, energy management, vigilance and general administration. His career has seen significant contributions across Central Railway, Northern Railway, Western Railway, the Ministry of Railways, and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). His exemplary service has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Minister of Railways and General Manager awards. Mr. Goel completed his engineering from IIT Roorkee, and postgraduate in Energy Studies from IIT Delhi.
