Major Administrative Reshuffle: 20 IAS-IPS officers transferred in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 8 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Several senior police officers, including SPs and SSPs, as well as district magistrates, were moved around in Uttar Pradesh during the latest shakeup.

Reports state that Chitrakoot District Magistrate Abhishek Anand has been transferred to Sitapur, while Sitapur District Magistrate Anuj Singh has been reassigned to Moradabad, per the transfer list made public by the state government.

Durga Shakti Nagpal, the Magistrate of Banda District, has been relocated to Lakhimpur Kheri. The district magistrate of Banda has been appointed as Nagendra Pratap, who is presently the Special Secretary of the Ayush Department. The district magistrate of Chitrakoot has been appointed as Shivsharanappa GN, the Kanpur Municipal Commissioner.

Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, the Special Secretary for the Agriculture Production Commissioner, has been appointed as the district magistrate of Shravasti. Madhusudan Hooghly, the Additional State Project Director, has been appointed as the district magistrate of Kaushambi.

Furthermore, Manish Bansal, the Magistrate of Sambhal District, has been transferred to Saharanpur in the same capacity. Rajendra Pensia, the Special Secretary of Urban Development, has been appointed as the district magistrate of Sambhal.

Ashish Kumar, the vice chairman of the Saharanpur Development Authority, has been named the Hathras district magistrate. Medha Rupam, Greater Noida’s Additional Chief CEO, has been appointed district magistrate of Kasganj.

8 IPS officers have been transferred to the districts of Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, and Meerut, where they will serve as Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs). In addition, the Superintendents of Police (SPs) for Azamgarh, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, and Agra Railway have been reassigned.
