Delhi Metro Introduces Multiple Journey QR Ticket for Seamless Travel

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a new feature allowing passengers to use a Multiple Journey QR Ticket (MJQRT), aimed at simplifying daily commutes. The feature, introduced by DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar, is part of the ‘Ease of Booking’ initiative to streamline the travel experience.

Available on the Delhi Metro Sarathi (Momentum 2.0) app, MJQRT eliminates the need for purchasing daily tickets by offering a single QR code for multiple trips. Commuters can access the feature with an initial balance of ₹150, with no security deposit required. The system allows recharges in multiples of ₹50, with a maximum balance limit of ₹3,000.

Passengers will receive a 10% discount during peak hours (8 AM – 12 PM and 5 PM – 9 PM) and a 20% discount during off-peak hours. In case of a lost or stolen device, users can transfer their balance by logging into a new device.

This latest addition to DMRC’s fare options complements existing systems such as single-journey QR tickets, NCMC cards, and smart cards, offering commuters a more flexible and efficient way to manage their metro travel.
