Chandigarh: According to an official source, the Punjab Government under a major reshuffle has decided to induct five new ministers into the cabinet while also dismissing four ministers. The move comes ahead of the Assembly by-elections and Panchayat Polls in the state.

The new ministers to be inducted into the cabinet include Barinder Kumar Goyal, Dr. Ravijot, Taranpreet Singh Saund, Mahinder Bhagat, and Hardeep Singh Mundia. On the other hand, Chetan Singh Jodamarja, Brah Shankar Jimpa, Balkar Singh, and Anmol Gagan Mann are set to step down as ministers. Currently, there are 15 ministers in the Punjab state cabinet, including the chief minister Bhagwant Mann.

While the official confirmation of this cabinet rejig is still awaited, the report of this likely reshuffle in the state has come just a few days after the Delhi Government saw the change of chief ministers. After Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post, Atishi took oath as the new Chief Minister of the national capital.
