Telangana Govt. Reshuffles 3 Senior IAS Officers; IAS Dr. Yogita Rana Made Secretary, Education Dept

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has announced the transfer and fresh postings of three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reshuffling key administrative roles across departments. As per the official notification, IAS Dr. Yogita Rana (2003 batch) has been appointed as Secretary to the Government in the Education Department. This position was previously held by IAS N. Sridhar (1997 batch) as an additional charge. Dr. Rana was awaiting posting prior to this appointment. With her extensive administrative experience, she is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the state’s education sector.

Meanwhile, IAS N. Sridhar, who currently serves as the Principal Secretary to the Government in the Scheduled Castes Development Department, has been assigned the Full Additional Charge (FAC) of the post of Secretary to the Government (Mines and Geology), Industries and Commerce Department. This role became vacant following the transfer of IAS K. Surendra Mohan (2006 batch). Sridhar’s expertise in governance and policy implementation is anticipated to enhance the efficiency of the Mines and Geology department.

IAS K. Surendra Mohan, previously serving as Secretary to the Government (Mines and Geology), Industries and Commerce Department, has now been appointed as the Commissioner of the Transport Department. This marks a significant shift in his responsibilities, with expectations for his leadership to bring innovation and better service delivery to the state’s transport sector.

These transfers reflect the Telangana government’s efforts to optimize the administration by strategically placing experienced officers in key positions. The changes are expected to improve governance and drive growth across the respective departments.
