New Delhi: MapmyIndia Mappls, a leading Indian digital maps and deep-tech platform company, has announced the acquisition of two major clients, the Survey of India and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

These strategic partnerships will significantly strengthen the company’s Platforms and IoT business segments, alongside its ongoing collaborations with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the upcoming Indian Railways contract.

Rakesh Verma, Co-founder and CMD of MapmyIndia Mappls, said the partnerships mark a milestone in the company’s journey to support India’s geospatial and digital transformation.

“It is a proud moment for us to work with two of India’s most important institutions, the Survey of India and IOCL. These collaborations align with the government’s vision to decolonise and open up the geospatial sector,” Verma said, adding that such alliances are crucial for realising the sector’s revenue target of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2030.

Under the agreement, MapmyIndia Mappls will power the Survey of India’s National Geo-Platform, a comprehensive system for standardising, managing and sharing geospatial datasets.

The platform will enable seamless data access through APIs and mobile applications, supporting collaboration among government bodies, academia, and industry. It will include systems for data dissemination, application integration and metadata management.

For IOCL, the company will deploy an Integrated Centralised Vehicle Tracking and Management System (CVTMS) for its 23,000 LPG trucks operating nationwide. The solution incorporates geofencing, route optimisation, risk management, analytics and emergency response to enhance safety, efficiency and cost control.

These initiatives reinforce MapmyIndia Mappls’ commitment to Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing its role in building advanced, indigenous technologies for both domestic and global markets.
