New Delhi: Paytm has partnered with AI-driven search engine Perplexity to integrate real-time AI-powered search within its app. The collaboration aims to enhance user access to financial insights, market trends, and other relevant data directly within the Paytm platform.
AI-Driven Search for Financial Information
The partnership allows Paytm users to obtain AI-generated responses on financial services and investment-related queries. Perplexity, known for its AI-based search capabilities, will provide instant answers, helping users make informed decisions. The integration reflects the growing use of AI in digital transactions and information access.
Vijay Shekhar Sharma, CEO of Paytm, stated that AI is transforming digital interactions, and this move will improve accessibility for Indian consumers. Perplexity’s CEO and Co-founder, Aravind Srinivas, emphasized that their technology will deliver real-time, transparent information to millions of users.
Government Signs Agreement with Paytm to Support Startups
Separately, the central government has signed an agreement with Paytm to support Indian startups through mentorship, infrastructure assistance, and funding opportunities. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Paytm have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote innovation in manufacturing and fintech sectors.
Under this collaboration, Paytm will provide guidance and financial support to startups, facilitating their expansion. The agreement aligns with the government’s push to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem by offering better market access and growth opportunities.
