Imphal: In one of the most significant bureaucratic reshuffles in recent months, the Manipur government has transferred 13 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, including IAS Krishna Kumar. The reshuffle comes amid the state’s continued administration under President’s Rule.
As per the official notification, IAS Krishna Kumar (2013 batch) has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Tengnoupal to Special Secretary, Power Department in Manipur.
The list of other key appointments and transfers is as follows:
- IAS Robert Singh Kshetrimayum (2010 batch): Appointed to oversee the Minor Irrigation Department in addition to his role as Secretary, Manipur Lokayukt.
- IAS A. Subhash Singh (2015 batch): Posted as Additional Secretary, Home and Personnel Departments, and Director, Institutional Finance. He was earlier serving as DC, Thoubal.
- IAS Pooja Elangbam (2018 batch): Appointed DC, Bishnupur; previously served as Director of Tourism.
- IAS L. Bikram: Appointed Director of Tourism. He was previously the DC, Bishnupur.
- IAS Hannah Kahmei: Appointed DC, Thoubal. She earlier served as the Joint Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department (Veterinary).
- IAS Ranjan Yumnam: Appointed Additional Secretary, PHE Department. Before this, he was the Director, Institutional Finance.
- IAS Luckysom Ngamsha: Appointed Director, Tribal Affairs and Hills. He was earlier serving as the Joint Secretary, Textiles Department.
- IAS Nivedita Lairenlakpam: Appointed DC, Imphal East. Previously, she was the Director of the Transport Department.
- IAS Khumanthem Diana: Appointed Director, Transport. She was serving as the DC, Imphal East, before this appointment.
- IAS Saurabh Yadav: Appointed DC, Tengnoupal. He was earlier the Joint Secretary, Transport and Power.
- IAS U Chaitanya (2022 batch): Appointed Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Waikhong. Earlier, he served as the ADC, Kakching.
This comprehensive reshuffle is aimed at optimising administrative performance and aligning leadership with current governance priorities.
