Imphal: The Manipur government had transferred 14 police officers, including two superintendent of police (SPs) in the districts of Kakching and Jiribam that included names like IPS Shaikh Mohammad Zakir and IPS Priyadarshini Laishram.
This was the first major police reshuffle after President’s Rule was imposed in the state.
As per an official notification from the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, IPS Shaikh Mohammad Zakir has been appointed as the SP of Kakching district. He was previously the SP of the Jiribam district.
Meanwhile, IPS Priyadarshini Laishram has been appointed as the SP of Jiribam. She was previously the SP of Kakching.
Gaurav Dogra has become the SDPO of Singjamei. He was the SDPO of Yairipok earlier. Assistant Commandant of 1st Manipur Rifles, Abhinav, will assume additional responsibilities as Additional SP of Kangpokpi district.
Moreover, Akoijam Sadananda Singh has been appointed as the new Additional SP Traffic (Imphal East), while SP Keisham Bojoukumar Singh has become the Additional SP Vigilance. Rattana Ngasekpam will serve as thr Additional SP (CID).
