10 IAS officers transferred
Lucknow: In a late-night administrative reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath government has transferred ten senior IAS officers. The transfers come barely a fortnight before the annual budget is to be tabled in the State Assembly. Arvind Kumar, additional chief secretary, Power Department who has been at loggerheads with the state power minister Shrikant Sharma has been posted in Infrastructure and Industrial Development. It may be noted that the state power minister was not happy and had even tweeted his displeasure with Kumar.
Additional Chiof Secretary (ACS) Finance, Sanjiv Kumar Mittal has been sent to the State Tax department in the same capacity, while ACS Vocational Education S Radha Mohan has been shifted to Finance in his place.
In another surprise move, ACS Medical Education, Rajnish Dubey has been made the ACS Urban Development department. Principal Secretary, Medical Health, Alok Kumar has been sent to Mecial Education in the same capacity. The above team had been engaged in the roll out of measures to tackle the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary Power, M Devraj has been made Chairman and MD of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
Chief Secretary R K Tiwari has been given the additional charge of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner.
