New Delhi: IT services firm Genpact has announced the launch of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Gigafactory, aimed at helping enterprises scale AI solutions from pilot projects to full production. The initiative integrates Genpact’s proprietary Agentic Solutions with advanced AI tools and a responsible AI framework to support enterprise-wide adoption of AI technologies.
Bridging the AI Maturity Gap
Sanjeev Vohra, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Genpact, highlighted a key challenge for enterprises: scaling AI solutions. Despite widespread interest in AI, only 5% of enterprises have achieved full AI maturity, according to a report by HFS Research. Genpact’s Gigafactory aims to close this gap by offering a multidisciplinary approach that combines industry expertise, data engineering, and AI-ready talent.
Vohra noted that many organizations face hurdles when transitioning AI projects from proof-of-concept to production. The Gigafactory addresses these challenges by providing pre-built AI and generative models, data marketplaces, and engineering libraries to accelerate deployment and improve efficiency.
Focus on Responsible AI
The Gigafactory integrates a strong governance framework, ethical design tools, and a “humans-in-the-loop” approach to ensure AI is deployed responsibly and effectively. Genpact is collaborating with technology partners like Databricks to enhance scalability and agility in enterprise operations. Sabina Shaikh, Vice President at Databricks, explained how solutions like integrating financial data hubs with Databricks’ platform can transform data management for better decision-making and insights.
Addressing the Talent Gap
Scaling AI across organizations also requires access to cross-functional, AI-ready professionals. Vishal Gupta, Partner at Everest Group, emphasized that initiatives like the AI Gigafactory can accelerate the availability of skilled talent, enabling faster deployment and tangible value for enterprise clients. By focusing on scalable and responsible AI solutions, Genpact aims to tackle the operational challenges businesses face in adopting AI at an enterprise level.
