Patna, August 24 (APAC Media): The Bihar government has constituted a five-member special committee to recommend comprehensive reforms in the state’s examination system.
The committee will be headed by a retired Supreme Court judge or a serving or retired High Court judge and is required to submit its recommendations within three months.
The panel will examine a wide range of examinations, including secondary and higher secondary, university, professional and technical, entrance, eligibility, recruitment, and competitive exams.
Its recommendations will focus on preventing question paper leaks, cheating, malpractice, answer-sheet tampering and unauthorised interference in examination results.
The committee will also suggest measures to make examination calendars, question paper security, evaluation, and result declaration more transparent and time-bound.
The panel will review the use of digital technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics and cybersecurity in examinations. It will also examine measures such as biometric verification, CCTV surveillance and secure tracking of question papers and answer sheets.
The committee will additionally consider the needs of students from rural areas, economically weaker sections and those with limited access to digital facilities.
