Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath government on Sunday, announced an extension of Corona curfew for one week till June 7 but relaxed the restrictions in the state. According to an official release, the Corona curfew will continue in 20 districts that have more than 600 active cases.
These districts are Lucknow, Meerut, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Jhansi, Prayagraj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra, Baghpat, Moradabad, Ghazipur, Bijnor, and Deoria.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary R K Tiwari said shops and markets outside containment zones will be allowed to open from June 1 onwards from 7 am to 7 pm for five days (Monday to Friday).
Night curfew will remain in place from 7 pm to 7 am, he said. The weekend restrictions or “corona curfew” will remain in place on Saturday and Sunday, the statement said.
