Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government will provide two lakh tablets to the two lakh primary and upper primary schools in the state. The government has targeted to make 30,000 schools completely smart. As per data shared by the department of basic education Uttar Pradesh, over 12,000 schools have been made smart so far.
A Twitter post of the department of basic education Uttar Pradesh in Hindi said: “There is a target to provide 2 lakh tablets to two lakh primary and upper primary schools in UP and to make 30 thousand schools completely smart schools.”
“So far, more than 12 thousand schools have made smart classes,” it added.
The department has also announced self-defense training for girl students in 1,000 schools in the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8. As per the Uttar Pradesh Department of Basic Education’s official tweet, over 2.3 lakh school girls have been given training by sports instructors so far.
“Self-defense training is being given to girl students in one thousand schools of the state by sports instructors. And 2,33,035 girl students have been given training through this,” the official tweet.
