Chennai: Tamil Nadu recently saw a major administrative reshuffle with 7 IAS officers, heading key departments, being transferred and posted. The names of the officers and their new appointments are as follows:
- IAS officer D Jagannathan, hitherto Food and Cooperation Secretary, will assume charge as Commissioner of Commercial Taxes.
IAS officer C Samayamoorthy, serving as the Agriculture Secretary, has been appointed the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. - Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Selvi Apoorva, has been posted as the new Agriculture Secretary.
- Vigilance Commissioner and Commissioner of Administrative Reforms, IAS officer K Gopal, will take charge as the Secretary of Food and Cooperation.
- IAS officer Ramesh Chand Meena, serving as the Secretary of Special Initiatives Department, has been transferred and posted as the Secretary to Planning and Development Department.
- IAS officer V Shobana, hitherto Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, has been appointed the Commissioner of Stationery and Printing.
- Chief Executive Officer of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), Kavitha Ramu, will be taking charge as the MD of TN Handicrafts Development Corporation.
