New Delhi: As part of the Annual GPAI Summit in 2023, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is preparing to host an AI Exhibition. This exhibition serves as a platform for industry players, educational institutions, startups, and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) to showcase their contributions to a global audience. The goal is to demonstrate how AI solutions are effectively addressing real-world challenges and gain recognition for their innovative AI contributions.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) is an international, multi-stakeholder initiative aimed at guiding the responsible development and use of AI. It is firmly rooted in principles of human rights, inclusion, diversity, innovation, and economic growth.
India, in its role as the council chair of GPAI, will host the Annual GPAI Summit, scheduled for December 12-14, 2023, at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India. AI experts, multilateral organisations, and relevant stakeholders from 28 GPAI member countries and the European Union will all be participating in the Summit.
Organisations at the forefront of AI innovation, including educational institutions, companies, startups, and MSMEs, with technology capable of benefiting society and tackling global challenges, have been invited to seize this unique opportunity to showcase their work. Industry leaders, policymakers, thought leaders, domain experts, fellow innovators, institutions, startups, and stakeholders from 29 countries will be amongst the audience.
The AI exhibition will revolve around themes and sectors such as Agriculture, Food, Health, Water Resources, Environment and Pollution, Education, Culture, Transportation, Highways and Waterways, Railways, Energy, Public Safety, Disaster Management, Legal, Finance, Governance, and Cyber-Security.
Participants are expected to exhibit their AI technology to an influential and diverse global audience, including government representatives, industry experts, and investors who can potentially invest in projects. They should illustrate how their AI solutions effectively address real-world challenges and have a positive impact on society.
All applications for participation should be submitted by the organisation’s competent authority or an official designated by the Board of Directors/CEO. Each eligible applicant is limited to a single application per organisation.
An expert panel will assess all applications and select organisations based on their level of innovation, impact, and alignment with the GPAI mission.
MeitY will retain the discretion to accept or reject any application.
