Lucknow: In a significant administrative move, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced the promotion of IAS Ajay Kumar Shukla of the 2001 batch to the rank of Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department.Â
Shukla was serving as the Secretary of the Urban Development Department in Lucknow before his promotion. He also held the additional responsibility of State Mission Director for AMRUT and AMRUT 2.0, key central schemes focused on improving urban infrastructure and basic services.
With his elevation, Shukla will continue to play a major role in shaping urban development policy in the state. The promotion reflects the state government’s confidence in his administrative experience and leadership. His expanded role is expected to strengthen the implementation of urban development projects across Uttar Pradesh.
