New Delhi, September 30 (APAC Media): The Ministry of Civil Aviation has assigned IAS Puneet Kansal the additional charge of Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Kansal will take over following the transfer of IAS Vipin Kumar.
The additional charge will be held for three months or until further orders.
Kansal to Hold Additional Charge from September 30
According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation on September 29, Kansal will assume the additional responsibility from the forenoon of September 30, 2026.
He will continue to serve as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation while handling the responsibilities of AAI Chairman. The arrangement will remain in effect for three months or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The order has been circulated to Member (HR), AAI, the Company Secretary and Chief of Administration & Corporate Services (CA&CS), AAI, along with all members of the AAI Board.
Kansal’s Current Role
Kansal is a 1996 batch officer from the Sikkim cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation. With the new assignment, he will oversee the responsibilities associated with the leadership of AAI in addition to his existing portfolio.
