New Delhi, Sep 30(APAC Media): TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper have appointed Somnath Adak as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the companies expand their technology, cloud and AI businesses across global markets.
Based in Singapore, Adak will oversee finance and legal functions across Singapore, India, the US, the UK, the UAE and Australia. He will also work with the boards and leadership teams of both companies on financial strategy and legal operations.
Somnath Adak’s New Role
Adak brings around two decades of experience in finance, strategy and business leadership across India, Australia and Singapore. Before joining TO THE NEW and CloudKeeper, he spent nine years at Singapore-listed Asian Pay Television Trust (APTT), where he served as CEO for two years and CFO for seven years.
He previously held leadership roles at Macquarie, ITC Limited and Grant Thornton. During his tenure at APTT, he worked on debt reduction, balance-sheet strengthening and the expansion of its broadband business.
Adak is a Chartered Accountant and former Chairman of the ICAI Singapore Chapter. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and is a Distinguished Alumnus of Shri Ram College of Commerce.
TO THE NEW And CloudKeeper Expansion
The appointment comes as both companies continue to invest in cloud, data, AI and digital engineering capabilities. TO THE NEW operates across India, the US, the UAE, Australia and Singapore, while CloudKeeper focuses on cloud and AI cost optimisation.
The two companies are affiliate entities under common ownership, with Adak now responsible for finance and legal functions across the group. The appointment adds a senior finance executive to the group as it expands its operations in multiple international markets.
