Lucknow, October 1 (APAC Media): In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred over two IAS officers across the state. IAS Babu Lal Meena as Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Revenue.
Meena is a 1991 batch IAS officer
Meena has been given the additional charge of Chairperson, Board of Revenue, Uttar Pradesh following the retirement of 1990-batch IAS officer Archana Agarwal.
Meena was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Horticulture & Sericulture Department, with additional responsibility for the Food Processing Department. He will continue to hold these departmental responsibilities along with his new charge..
Amrit Abhijat Gets Additional Charge of UPSRTC
Following Agarwal’s retirement, the government has entrusted the additional charge of UPSRTC Chairperson to Amrit Abhijat, a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
Abhijat is currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Culture & Religious Affairs, and Transport. He will continue to hold these responsibilities along with the additional charge of UPSRTC Chairperson.
Who Is IAS Amrit Abhijat?
Born on June 21, 1968, in Munger, Bihar, Abhijat is a 1995-batch IAS officer. who studied History at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, completing his B.A. and M.A. He later obtained an M.A. in Governance & Development from the University of Sussex, UK.
He has also completed postgraduate diplomas in Rural Development from IGNOU and Environmental Laws. He speaks Hindi, English and French.
